A Peaceful Place - The Purpose
A few years ago, we had the priviledge of vacationing with some friends in Canada, staying in a beautiful setting, consisting of several log-cabin structures. Our little cottage had two twin beds, a small heater, and no air conditioner. God was so real to us there, and we were able to relax and renew our tired spirits. When we left that special place, a part of our hearts stayed there, and we knew we had to have a place like that in our lives, a place to retreat to. God has now blessed us with the opportunity to offer a similar experience to you, our brothers and sisters in the Lord.
A Peaceful Place - The Past
The original log-cabin structure pictured above is approximately 200 years old. It was moved from Casey County, Kentucky to this location in 1970, log by log. Some of the hand-hewn logs measure 18" thick. It has a tin roof.
